Privacy Policy
What the teahouse keeps, and what it never shares.
Teacart is not medical care
It is a journal for noticing patterns — not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not a crisis service. Nothing here is reviewed by a clinician, and no one is alerted by what you write.
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number now. In the US and Canada you can call or text 988; in the UK and Ireland, call 116 123.
Your notes are yours
What you write in a check-in — the mood, the energy, the sentence, the tags — is never shown to anyone else. Not to your circle, not on the leaderboard, not to other people using Teacart.
The only thing that ever leaves your side of the app is whether you filled a basket, and how long your run is.
What is stored
- Each check-in holds a date, a mood value, an energy value, your note, and any tags you picked.
- Your profile holds your display name, the goals you chose, your reminder setting, your streak, your XP and level, and your rest chits.
- Your email address, so you can sign back in.
Where it lives
Data sits in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, and every table has row-level security switched on. The policies only ever match rows where the signed-in account is you, so one account cannot read another account's check-ins — that rule is enforced by the database, not by the app.
Teacart has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party trackers. Nothing you write is sold, and nothing you write is used to train anything.
Your circle
People at your table can see your display name, your streak, and whether today's basket is filled. That is the whole list. They cannot see your mood, your energy, your notes, or your tags — those columns are never sent to another account. Leaving a table stops the sharing immediately.
Inviting someone by email stores that address on the invitation so it can be waiting if they join later. Teacart never emails it, never checks whether it belongs to an account, and the invitation can be cancelled at any time — which deletes the address with it.
The big teahouse
The global leaderboard shows a display name, streak, best streak, XP and level — nothing about how you have felt. It is opt-in, and you can take yourself off it at any time with “Show me in the teahouse” on your profile.
Taking your data, and deleting it
Export my cart builds a copy of everything on your device and hands it to whichever app you choose. It does not pass through Teacart's servers or an email provider on the way.
Delete my account, at the bottom of your profile, removes everything immediately and for good: your profile, every check-in, your circle memberships, and any table you set. There is no recovery and no waiting period. If a table you own still has people at it, that table goes too.
Children
Teacart is not directed at children, and accounts are not knowingly created for anyone under 13. If you believe a child has an account, write to the address below and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the version in the app is updated to match.
